Hazard Management - Client Responsibilities
During the course of any project, right from the initial concept there is the potential to identify potential hazards which may arise during construction, commissioning and operation. Accordingly during design it is possible to consider any anticipated risks and attempt to eliminate or reduce them by modification of the design, and if this is not possible communicate any residual risk to those who will subsequently build, commission or operate the facility.
This is done by a process of Hazard Management using a number of well-defined processes recorded on a Hazard Register run throughout the life of the project and culminating in all residual risks in operation being communicated at handover to the eventual user for use in their operational risk assessments.
BPSS Approach
BPSS have an experienced team capable of providing the appropriate level of support to any project from the simplest build to the most complex and challenging project.
The key to the success of any construction project is to start the hazard
review process early in the design process when changes are relatively
inexpensive to correct, rather than during construction or later during
operation of the facility.
