Health and Safety File
The purpose of a Health and Safety File is to collate information, relating to the structure or project during all phases of construction. The Health & Safety File is a source of information that will help to reduce the risks and costs involved in future construction work, including cleaning, maintenance, alterations, refurbishment and demolition.
Clients therefore need to ensure that the file is prepared and kept available for inspection in the event of such work. The CDM Coordinator will prepare the Health and Safety File from existing information and other information collated throughout the projects duration.
